Just Talk Mediation is a family mediation service based in the Aire and Wharfe valley area of West Yorkshire, however I also offer online mediation so you can be based anywhere and still access our services.
As a mediation service I am dedicated to assisting couples who find themselves in dispute regarding the division of financial assets or issues regarding their children following the breakdown of their relationship. Whilst much of my work comes to me through referrals from local family law solicitors increasingly I am being approached directly by couples who wish to mediate and reach agreement together before engaging the services of a solicitor to finalise matters, thereby saving uncertainty, time and legal fees.
Mediation Information Assessment Meeting (M.I.A.M)
If you would like to see whether the mediation process can help you and your ex partner or spouse to reach solutions together then I offer a fixed fee initial mediation assessment meeting known as a M.I.A.M. The meeting will give you the opportunity to meet me, and discuss your situation with me. It will also enable me to determine whether mediation is suitable for you and your ex partner or spouse and give you an idea of what your likely costs will be.
The assessment meeting can take between 60 and 75 minutes and the fee is £135. Included within the fee is the preparation of the compulsory M.I.A.M. form required by the courts in the event that it is decided that mediation is an unsuitable way forward or if the mediation process breaks down.
